Healing the Community since 1986
This event is to bring awareness to the veterans and first responders who lose their battle with PTS every day. Currently, there are more deaths attributed to suicide than killed in action in both wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. As for first responders, there is insufficient data to give full perspective of the suicide crisis. This is a battle that veterans, first responders, and their families cannot fight alone. Wellness Works is a non-profit provider that serves our veterans, first responders and their families. We are committed to relieving the lingering stress and suffering that they accumulate through the years. While some veterans and first responders have physical wounds that can be seen, others have invisible wounds of the heart, soul and mind. We, as Americans, have a tremendous opportunity as well as responsibility to help prevent veterans and first responders’ suicide.
Wellness Works is committed to relieving the lingering stress and suffering that duty often brings to families. We welcome all service persons, active duty, veterans, first responders, their family members, and close friends.
Now and always, we thank our Active duty service members, veterans, and first responders for their service to our community.
